The Xbox 360 is a seventh-generation home video game console developed by Microsoft, known for its high-definition graphics, surround sound, and a large library of games. Released in 2005, it functions as a powerful multimedia center for playing games, watching HD movies, and streaming music, photos, and videos from other devices or the internet via the Xbox LIVE online service. The console was a competitor to the PlayStation 3 and Wii and was succeeded by the Xbox One.
