Arc System Works has announced a new instalment in the River City Saga series, titled Journey To The West. The announcement, revealed at the start of the year, positions the game as the next entry following River City Saga: Three Kingdoms.

The River City Saga franchise traces its roots to the long-running Kunio-kun property and has resurfaced in recent years with modern entries. Arc System Works has so far provided only a brief reveal for Journey To The West, with the publisher yet to confirm a release window, target platforms or detailed gameplay information.
