Capcom has rolled out a PC patch for Monster Hunter Wilds that resolves a glaring performance bug tied to a talking DLC vendor cat. The issue, which saw frame-rates plunge when players stood close to the in-game vendor, has been eliminated in the latest update.

Testing by XPLog confirmed the problem no longer occurs after installing the patch; frame-rates returned to normal when characters were placed in close proximity to the talking vendor. Players who experienced stutters and drops in performance around the DLC vendor should see improvements after updating to the newest build.

The bug had attracted attention after reports from across the player base described severe slowdowns triggered by the vendor's presence and dialogue. The patch notes published alongside the update cite fixes to performance issues related to DLC interactions.
