Obsidian Entertainment's Grounded 2 has received a sizeable update titled The Toxic Tangle, bringing fresh content as the game edges closer to a full release.
The update introduces a new Garden biome that expands the playable world and freshens exploration. The expanded environment brings additional hazards, paths and tactical options for players navigating the shrunken backyard.
Alongside the new area, The Toxic Tangle adds a range of new hostile encounters. The update increases the variety of threats players will face and adjusts the game's encounter mix to better reflect the Garden's unique ecology.
One of the headline additions is a rideable ladybug fitted with a gun turret, creating a mobile combat platform that alters traversal and engagement strategies. The mountable insect offers a novel method of moving through the environment while providing onboard firepower.
Patch notes accompanying the update also cover a suite of routine changes, including balance tweaks, item adjustments and bug fixes intended to refine the experience as development progresses toward full launch.
The Toxic Tangle marks another significant step in Grounded 2's ongoing post-launch development, demonstrating a continued focus on expanding content and gameplay systems ahead of the game's completed release.
