Hell Express is a top-down 3D extraction shooter that casts players as couriers delivering letters to the dead from a heavily armed combat truck, according to a report by Rock Paper Shotgun.
The game blends cargo-running and traversal reminiscent of Death Stranding with the frantic, overworld combat of Helldivers and the vehicle-survival focus of Pacific Drive. Mission objectives centre on retrieving and delivering correspondence to the underworld while extracting before hostile forces close in.
Encounters with hostile denizens are frequent and lethal; weaponry includes conventional firearms alongside incendiary devices and explosives. The combat truck functions as both transport and weapons platform, offering a balance of mobility, firepower and cargo protection as players push through contested terrain.
Design details remain sparse and no release date has been announced. The project positions itself as an extraction shooter with a tonal twist: a posthumous postal service where parcels rarely arrive without a firefight.
Rock Paper Shotgun's feature provides the first substantial look at Hell Express; further information is expected as the developer reveals more.
