Actor Eman Ayaz has said three years' worth of her work was effectively wiped out after Ubisoft cancelled the long-in-development Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake.
In a video posted this week, Ayaz said she learned last week that three years' worth of her work on an unnamed project had been "tipped down the drain". "It's just as if it never existed," she said, describing the personal and professional impact of the cancellation.
The Prince of Persia remake was among a raft of cancellations and delays at Ubisoft that have coincided with a period of organisational change and reported job cuts at the publisher. The decision to halt the remake has drawn attention to the wider consequences for cast, crews and contractors attached to long-running development schedules.
