French game development studio Quantic Dream, known for its work on the upcoming Star Wars Eclipse, is facing a strike from the French Syndicat des Travailleureuses du Jeu Vidéo (STJV) union. The union is calling for an extension to the negotiating period over planned layoffs, which are expected to affect around 115 workers.

The strike comes after Quantic Dream decided to end development of its MOBA game, Spellcasters Chronicles, leading to a significant reduction in staff. The union is demanding that the studio provides better support and compensation for the affected workers.
