Nintendo is set to expand its Switch Online 'Nintendo Classics' service with the addition of the iconic GameCube title, Super Mario Sunshine. This beloved game, which initially debuted on the GameCube in 2002, will be available to subscribers from 13th August 2026. The announcement marks a welcome return for the game, which was previously part of the delisted Super Mario 3D All-Stars collection for the Switch.

Super Mario Sunshine is a 3D platformer that follows Mario as he attempts to clean up the polluted Isle Delfino, using his trusty water-spraying companion, FLUDD. The game's unique mechanics and charming setting have made it a fan favorite, and its inclusion in the Nintendo Switch Online library is sure to delight both new and veteran gamers.
