The original game, released in July 2025, followed the story of Bai Wuchang, a pirate afflicted with a supernatural disease that gave her demonic abilities, and was set during China's Ming Dynasty.

Despite the original development team, Lenzee Games, being disbanded due to a leadership dispute, the franchise is being revived with a new team, Indolphinity, founded by Wuchang creative director Xia Siyaun.
