The US video game market experienced a significant downturn in June, with spending dropping 21% compared to the same period last year. Despite this, EA Sports UFC 6 managed to take the top spot in game sales, followed closely by Meccha Chameleon and 007 First Light.
This decline in spending can be attributed to the record-breaking launch of the Nintendo Switch 2 in June 2025, which set a high bar for the industry. However, the market is still showing signs of resilience, with the Switch 2 remaining the best-selling hardware in both units sold and dollars for June 2026.
