In a surprise move, Capcom has announced that it will be removing all microtransactions from Dragon's Dogma 2, effective June 25th, 2026. This decision comes as the company prepares for the release of the game's Dark Arisen expansion, set to launch in October.

The removal of microtransactions means that players will no longer be able to purchase Rift Crystals, the game's premium currency, or items like Gaol Keys, Portcrystals, and Wakestones with real money. Additionally, the Deluxe Edition of the game will be taken off the PS Store, leaving only the base version and a few select items available for purchase.
