Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced will include eight new endgame missions that place Edward Kenway against real‑world pirate hunter Robert Miller, Ubisoft Singapore has confirmed.

The additional missions expand the original narrative’s closing sequences, offering further resolution to plot threads surrounding Blackbeard and the events that conclude his arc in the base game. According to game director Richard Knight, the new material is intended to give players "room to resolve that," and to follow up on questions left unresolved by the original ending. Knight said the missions occur after Edward's original story concludes, allowing the remake to preserve the core Edward saga while offering optional supplementary content.

"[These additional endgame missions] give us room to resolve that," Knight said. "Like, 'What happened there?' Can we follow up those little plot threads so that you have kind of a more full experience, should you choose to go down that route? But, you can still play the same sort of epic Edward saga the way you did back then [because these endgame missions take place after Edward's original story wraps up]."

Creative director Paul Fu added that Resynced brings further content beyond the endgame missions, including new side missions, fresh islands to explore, and "new ending missions for beloved characters." Combined, Fu estimates the new material totals roughly six hours of additional gameplay.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is due to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC on 9 July 2026. The remake forms part of Ubisoft's recent effort to update classic entries in the franchise for current hardware, with enhanced visuals and rebuilt systems alongside story additions.
