OtherSide Entertainment has confirmed that Thick As Thieves will launch on PC via Steam on 20 May priced at $4.99 (approximately £4). The studio described the release as an "introductory campaign" intended to establish the game's world and allow future content to be developed in response to player engagement.

The introductory campaign will contain 16 missions across two replayable maps and offer six pieces of unlockable gear. OtherSide estimates the initial campaign will run for at least four hours, positioning it as the foundation for further expansions set in the game's 1900s alt-history city of Kilcairn.

In a press release the studio said: "This decision reflects the team's desire to bring players into the world sooner, and to give the team the flexibility to develop additional content informed by how players engage with the game." OtherSide has signalled plans to expand the setting and stories of Thick As Thieves with additional content after launch.

The studio also published a new developer walkthrough featuring more than five minutes of fresh gameplay footage ahead of the PC release. Console versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S remain planned, but no release window has been announced.

Thick As Thieves originally explored PvPvE elements during development but recently pivoted to focus on single-player and cooperative play, a shift the studio says better suits the experience it aims to deliver.

The game will be available on Steam from 20 May at the announced price. Further updates and release details for consoles are expected from OtherSide in the coming months.
