Xbox Rewards has launched a new "Birthday Gift" feature that grants special benefits to members during the week of their birthday.

The addition, confirmed by Xbox employee Brenna Duffitt, debuted on Monday. Rewards users first noticed the change yesterday, with a notification and redeemable "birthday gift" appearing for eligible accounts.

Microsoft has not detailed the full contents of the birthday package beyond describing it as a set of Xbox Rewards benefits redeemable during the birthday week. The move expands Microsofts ongoing efforts to add more personalised incentives to its Rewards programme.
