Level-5's remake of Snack World will no longer be confined to Nintendo platforms and is slated to arrive on PlayStation 5, the developer has indicated. No release date was confirmed.

The title, a roguelike dungeon crawler from Fukuoka-based Level-5, first launched on Nintendo 3DS in 2017 before receiving a wider release on Nintendo Switch in 2020. The remake had previously been associated with Nintendo platforms, but the publisher has now removed that exclusivity.

Snack World forms part of Level-5's broader multimedia efforts, encompassing games, anime and merchandise. The remake aims to refresh the franchise for modern hardware, though specific details about improvements, features or pricing remain unannounced.

Push Square first reported the platform expansion and noted that Level-5 did not provide a firm launch window. Further information is expected as the studio prepares its next public updates.

Retailers and pre-order listings have not appeared at the time of reporting. More concrete release details, platforms and edition information should clarify availability closer to launch.
