Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era is set to launch in PC early access on 30 April, Hooded Horse and Ubisoft have announced. The title is the first original Heroes of Might and Magic entry in over a decade and is being developed by Unfrozen.
Olden Era is a turn-based strategy RPG built around town management and tactical battles. Players alternate between tending towns and sending heroes, fantasy creatures and armies on quests across procedurally generated maps. The early access build will include a mixture of familiar systems and newly designed modes, spanning both singleplayer and multiplayer.
Hooded Horse described the project as a fresh entry intended to recapture the series' strategic depth while introducing modern features. Unfrozen leads development, with Hooded Horse and Ubisoft supporting publication and distribution.
Further information, including system requirements and the full early access feature list, is expected from the publisher ahead of launch. More coverage and the original announcement are available from Rock Paper Shotgun: rockpapershotgun.com.
