Rebellion, the studio best known for the Sniper Elite series and Atomfall, revealed an all-new title called Alien Deathstorm during the Xbox Partner Preview stream. The studio described the project as an atmospheric first-person shooter set on an alien world battered by an unrelenting storm.
Early footage presents a settlement decimated by unstable weather and monstrous lifeforms. Gameplay shown so far emphasises continuous, close-quarters combat, with waves of grotesque alien creatures swarming around every corner. The player arrives intending to investigate the cause of the destruction, but the mission quickly becomes a fight for survival.
Alien Deathstorm is confirmed for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, with a 2027 release window. Rebellion also announced the title will be available on Xbox Game Pass at launch and supported as an Xbox Play Anywhere title.
No further release-date specifics or pricing information have been provided. Rebellion's pedigree with Sniper Elite positions the studio to blend atmospheric set-pieces with tense combat in this new IP, though additional details on modes, progression and multiplayer have yet to be revealed.
The first look at Alien Deathstorm was shared during Microsoft's showcase and reported by Game Informer. Further information is expected as Rebellion expands on the project ahead of its 2027 launch.
