Weappy Studio revealed a new trailer for The Eternal Life of Goldman during the Xbox Partner Showcase, and confirmed the hand‑drawn platformer will launch day one on Xbox Game Pass.

The Eternal Life of Goldman follows its titular protagonist, an elderly cane‑wielding adventurer who voyages to a mystic cluster called the Archipelago to confront an entity known as the Deity. The game pairs classic platforming sensibilities with a visual style inspired by European folklore and the aesthetics of ’70s–’90s animation.

Gameplay footage in the trailer emphasises tight, retro‑tinged platforming. Goldman can bounce on his cane to dispatch enemies and traverse levels, while the cane itself is customizable to alter combat and traversal properties. The developer cites influences such as DuckTales in the game’s approach to movement and stage design.

Weappy Studio is best known for narrative‑driven strategy titles This Is the Police and Rebel Cops. The Eternal Life of Goldman represents a stylistic shift toward a more traditional 2D action platformer while retaining a distinct narrative and visual identity.

The studio has not provided a specific release window. Platforms announced include PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC, with the Xbox version arriving on Game Pass from day one.
