Eden Marie Backs Asha Sharma’s Claim of Two‑Week Xbox Dashboard Turnaround

Xbox engineer Eden Marie has provided additional context on the recent dashboard update rolled out to Xbox Insiders, confirming the rapid development timeline previously cited by Xbox head Asha Sharma.

Sharma said the new dashboard features were built in just two weeks. Marie described the development as "energized", saying "we got an unusual amount of stuff done for this two-week project" and acknowledging that "it's true that a lot of features take longer than that."

The mid‑week release marks one of the more substantive console updates for the platform in recent months, landing with a set of dashboard changes aimed at Insiders. Microsoft has used the Xbox Insiders programme to trial changes before wider deployment, and the fast turnaround has attracted attention within the community and industry observers.

Marie characterised the work as an intense, focused effort inside Microsoft, while stressing that such compressed timelines are not the norm for every feature. The engineer's comments underline both the studio's capacity for rapid iteration and the broader reality that many system updates require longer development cycles.

The update and remarks were first reported by Pure Xbox. Full coverage of the development and the features included in the Insider patch can be found on the original report: Pure Xbox.

Microsoft has not yet confirmed a wider rollout schedule for the dashboard changes beyond the Insider release window.
