Aspyr Media has defended the new outfits added to the Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered collection, insisting that "no AI generated assets were used" in their creation.

In a statement posted to social media the developer said the skins were "created by our team of artists" and rejected claims that artificial intelligence had been employed to produce the costumes.

"No AI generated assets were used," the developer wrote, adding that the skins were "created by our team of artists."

The company also acknowledged that the recent patch introducing the outfits brought texture issues and other bugs, describing remediation as its "top priority." Aspyr said timings for further updates and fixes will be released "as soon as possible."

The clarification follows criticism from sections of the community after the update. Push Square reported the developer's comments and that Aspyr is now focused on resolving the technical problems affecting the remastered collection.

Further information and a timeline for the promised fixes are awaited from Aspyr Media.
