Konami has quietly removed digital listings for several older Metal Gear titles on Xbox, most notably taking down the Xbox 360 backward-compatible release of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD from the Xbox Store. The delisting follows last week's announcement of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, due in August and set to include a newly packaged version of Peace Walker.
- Peace Walker HD, previously available as an Xbox 360 backward-compatible title, is no longer listed for purchase on the Xbox Store.
- Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 is scheduled to arrive in August and will contain an updated edition of Peace Walker alongside other series entries.
- As part of the collection, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Metal Gear: Ghost Babel will make their first official appearances on Xbox platforms.
- Konami appears to have removed multiple legacy Metal Gear digital entries in advance of the compilation’s release, consolidating older releases into the forthcoming collection.
