Konami's current-gen re-release of Metal Gear Solid 4 includes some surprising crossovers and some notable omissions. The package brings the Altair costume from the original Assassin's Creed to Old Snake, but online functionality from the PS3 era won't be present for MGS4 itself.

  • Old Snake can wear an Altair outfit that nods to Assassin's Creed, part of a wider Konami–Ubisoft collaboration.
  • Despite the crossover content, MGS4's online components are not included in the PS5 port.
  • Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker — bundled in the release — will retain online modes, separate from MGS4's offline-only setup.
  • The port preserves period-specific touches, including PS3-related references and a named iPod product that date the original release.
  • The Konami and Ubisoft partnership also extends to Solid Snake appearing in a Rainbow Six: Siege seasonal update as part of cross-promotion.
