Ubisoft Toronto has cut approximately 40 full‑time positions, around 8% of the studio's headcount, but development on the Splinter Cell remake for PlayStation 5 remains ongoing.
The publisher confirmed the reduction as part of wider staffing changes at the Canadian studio. Despite the cull, the project centred on Sam Fisher's return is said to be "alive and kicking," with the team continuing work in earnest.
