Absolum has received a major free update from Dotemu, Guard Crush Games and Supamonks that overhauls several run systems and adds new risks and rewards. The patch brings a fresh mode for starting runs, replacements for the old Rift areas, and numerous character adjustments alongside quality-of-life fixes. Expect new Soul Tree prizes and a nasty Forest ambush to shake up your runs.

  • Mystic Ordeals: A new way to begin runs that introduces modifiers and extra challenges to change how each attempt plays out.
  • Corrupted Biomes replace the Rifts system: Optional, dangerous zones now appear inside areas, offering greater loot for players willing to take the risk.
  • Soul Tree expansions: New unlocks have been added, including elite mounts and additional character skins to reward progression.
  • Balance and fixes: A range of character tweaks and bug resolutions aim to smooth gameplay and address pacing/clarity across builds.
  • New encounter: A "devilish ambush" has been introduced to the Forest biome to create sudden, high-stakes combat moments.
