Konami has confirmed the return of Castlevania with a new title, Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, slated for release on PlayStation 5 in 2026.

The project is being developed in collaboration with Evil Empire and Motion Twin, studios known for their work on Dead Cells. Push Square characterised the game as "a brand new, traditionally-styled instalment" in the long-running series and reported that the presentation carries a distinctly classic Castlevania aesthetic.

Details released so far identify the game as a PS5 exclusive for the 2026 window. Konami and its development partners have not yet published further information on gameplay mechanics, platforms beyond PS5, pricing or a firm release date.
