Arc System Works has confirmed a release date for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls. The tag‑based Marvel fighter is scheduled to launch on 6 August 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC, the developer announced during Sony's State of Play.

The presentation also locked in three additional X‑Men for launch. Wolverine, Magik and Danger will join Storm as members of the Unbreakable X‑Men team on day one.

  • Wolverine — expected to deliver close‑quarters aggression and brutal slashing attacks in the mould of his previous fighting‑game appearances.
  • Magik — brings large sword swings and teleportation options that should create strong mix‑ups and stage control.
  • Danger — an animated training‑room construct that functions as a unique android fighter, offering unconventional tools for the tag format.

Arc System Works' experience with high‑precision, anime‑inspired fighters is well established, and the studio positions Fighting Souls as a competitive tag game built around Marvel characters and cinematic presentation. With the launch roster now confirming multiple X‑Men alongside previously announced fighters such as Storm, the project is shaping into a character‑heavy entry for the genre.
