Saber Interactive has announced an untitled third‑person John Wick action game developed in collaboration with Lionsgate and franchise director Chad Stahelski. The reveal trailer presents a cinematic, film‑like presentation that aims to recreate the series' signature close‑quarters 'gun‑fu' combat and stylised camerawork.
The trailer opens on a tailor fitting a new suit while delivering a monologue about movement and adaptability: "A man with your skillset must be able to move unrestrained, unconstricted; he must be versatile, capable, adaptable; he must be grounded, stable, constant." That narration is intercut with sequences of John Wick dispatching multiple adversaries using firearms, melee attacks and improvised weapons across a nondescript cityscape.
Saber's description of the project states the game will feature an original script set within the John Wick timeline, expanding the franchise's lore with both familiar and new characters. The developer says the design will be faithful to the series' visual and mechanical identity, promising "a distinct gun fu combat system, jaw‑dropping camerawork, immersive driving experiences, and a variety of memorable environments" intended to make players feel like they are in a John Wick movie.
The game uses Keanu Reeves' likeness for John Wick. No confirmation has been given regarding Reeves' involvement as a voice actor for the title. Platforms, release window and further gameplay details remain unannounced.
This entry is not the first video game to feature the character; Bithell Games released John Wick Hex in 2019, a tactical action title that approached the licence from a different perspective.
