Ubisoft, in partnership with developer Digital Eclipse, releases Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition tomorrow, 13 February, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PC. The collection is priced at $19.99 (around £16).

The Anniversary Edition centres on the original 1995 Rayman and assembles five distinct versions of the game: the original PlayStation release, Atari Jaguar, MS-DOS, Game Boy Advance and Game Boy Color iterations. The package also includes a 'never-before-playable' Super Nintendo Entertainment System prototype of the title.

New and quality-of-life additions accompany the vintage builds. The release adds 120 extra levels, a reimagined soundtrack by Christophe Héral, rewind functionality and player options such as infinite lives and invincibility.

As is customary for Digital Eclipse projects, the collection features an interactive documentary with roughly an hour of interviews, alongside unseen concept art, early sketches and original design documents that contextualise the game's development.

The Anniversary Edition does not constitute a radical remaster of the original game; it is presented primarily as a preservation-focused compilation that brings multiple historical versions and archival material together for modern platforms.
