Team Ninja has announced Dead or Alive 6 Last Round, a PlayStation 5 remaster of the series' sixth mainline entry, and teased a separate new Dead or Alive project during Sony's State of Play showcase.

The PlayStation Blog video description brands Last Round as "the definitive version of Dead or Alive 6." The update moves the game to PlayStation 5, folds previously released downloadable characters into the main roster and hints at further playable fighters and costume additions through future updates.

A free-to-play edition of Last Round will be available at launch, though details on how it will differ from the paid version were not disclosed. Last Round is scheduled to arrive on 25 June 2026 for PlayStation 5.

Series producer Yosuke Hayashi introduced Last Round and used the segment to show a brief teaser for a separate title currently referred to as "Dead or Alive New Project." The teaser did not confirm an official numerical sequel name, but the reveal underlines that a fresh entry is in development.

Team Ninja framed the pair of announcements as part of celebrations for the Dead or Alive series' 30th anniversary in 2026.

The State of Play presentation and related details were reported by Game Informer.
