Reports emerged overnight of a widespread issue causing multiple Xbox accounts to be signed out simultaneously, with many users subsequently shown a recurring age verification prompt.

Several accounts on social platforms described being signed out while navigating the Xbox dashboard and then confronted with the same age verification message that has intermittently appeared for some time. In many cases players were able to sign back in quickly, but some reported difficulty accessing specific online features after doing so.

Loading into GTA Online was singled out by a number of users as an example of a service affected following the forced sign-outs. Posts on X and Reddit collected similar accounts from different regions, suggesting the issue was not isolated to a single console or network.

The age verification prompt has cropped up repeatedly in recent weeks for a subset of Xbox users, and the latest mass sign-outs appear to be related to that persistent verification message. No official technical explanation has been published by Microsoft or the Xbox team at the time of writing.

Players seeking updates are advised to monitor the Xbox Status page and Microsoft's official channels for any acknowledgement or resolution timeline.
