Square Enix has confirmed that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth on PS5 will receive new Streamlined Progression options via a patch timed with the release of the Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 versions on 3 June 2026. The additions largely mirror the convenience settings introduced when the Remake was ported, but also include a fresh toggle that lets players push minigame damage up to 9,999.

  • Patch rollout will coincide with the launch of the Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2 releases on 3 June 2026.
  • Streamlined Progression settings will be added to the native PS5 build rather than requiring a new version purchase.
  • Most options echo the quality-of-life tools previously added to Final Fantasy 7 Remake when it was ported to other platforms.
  • New to Rebirth: a setting that allows minigame damage to be set at a maximum of 9,999, effectively serving as a cheat-friendly option for minigame challenges.
