Resident Evil Requiem amiibo revealed in new Switch 2 trailer

Capcom's upcoming Resident Evil Requiem received fresh attention during Nintendo's Partner Direct showcase, which included the first proper look at the game's amiibo figures. The brief trailer focused on presentation rather than new gameplay, but confirmed two figures: Leon and Grace Ashcroft.

Both amiibo unlock cosmetic weapon skins in the Switch 2 release. The trailer showcased a single example: a neon skin for Leon's Requiem handgun. The bright, stylised finish is a notable aesthetic choice for a survival‑horror title, and may not be the intended look for an opening playthrough seeking atmosphere.

The figures themselves appear serviceable rather than spectacular, offering collectors a physical tie‑in without revealing additional in‑game content. Capcom also maintained a careful approach to the trailer's visuals, avoiding explicit blood or gore in footage that emphasised character and cosmetic reveal over violence.

Most of the game's core gameplay had already been leaked or revealed elsewhere, so the Partner Direct segment functioned primarily as a confirmation of the amiibo plans and a reminder that cosmetic unlocks will form part of the Requiem experience on Nintendo's Switch 2 platform.
