Sony has confirmed Horizon Hunters Gathering, a new three-player co-operative entry in the Horizon franchise developed internally by Guerrilla Games and heading to PlayStation 5 and PC.

Described as a title that sees teams "protect a world under threat from deadly machines," Horizon Hunters Gathering emphasises tactical, reactive and skill-based combat. Guerrilla says the game builds on the tactical precision associated with the Horizon series while adopting systems designed for team play.

The announcement follows earlier reports that two Horizon co-op projects were in development, one from NCSoft and the other from Guerrilla. Horizon Hunters Gathering is the studio’s in-house offering and was given an extended reveal in the newly released trailer.

No concrete release date or detailed platform breakdown beyond PS5 and PC was provided in the announcement. Further information, including release timing and pre-order details, is expected to be confirmed by Sony and Guerrilla in due course.

An extended look at Horizon Hunters Gathering is available in the trailer and coverage from Push Square, which reported the confirmation. Full coverage and the trailer can be found at the original report: Push Square.
