Square Enix has confirmed Paranormasight: The Mermaid's Curse for Nintendo Switch, with the horror sequel due on 19 February 2026 and pre-orders opening today.

The follow-up to 2023's Paranormasight transports players to Ise-Shima, Japan. The narrative centres on Yuza, a pearl diver who discovers another version of himself in the water. Several other strangers converge on the island as a broader investigation into supernatural occurrences begins to unfold.

The Mermaid's Curse appears to retain the structure and tone of its predecessor. The game uses a flowchart of interlinked character perspectives, asks players to solve puzzles and leans into atmospheric, unsettling set-pieces to generate tension.

The original Paranormasight, released in 2023, received generally positive reactions for its narrative ambition and eerie presentation. The new entry promises to carry those elements into an underwater-themed mystery.

Paranormasight: The Mermaid's Curse is confirmed for Nintendo Switch on 19 February 2026, with pre-orders starting today. The announcement was reported by Game Informer.
