Publisher Kitfox Games has confirmed that cult roguelike Caves of Qud will launch on Nintendo Switch on 16 February 2026.

The console release had been delayed multiple times, with Kitfox noting at the end of January that final approval was still pending and that a slip into February was likely. That approval has now reportedly been secured, clearing the way for the mid‑February release.

Developed over a protracted period — the project is described as being roughly 17 years in the making — Caves of Qud has earned a strong following for its deep procedural world, emergent storytelling and complex role‑playing systems. The title has been widely available on PC for years, and the Switch launch represents a significant expansion of its platform reach.

Nintendo Life first reported the confirmed date and provided the developer's update on the delay and approval process. Full coverage is available via Nintendo Life's report: Nintendo Life — After multiple delays, cult hit 'Caves of Qud' is finally hitting Switch this month.
