A long-running fan remake of the cancelled Van Buren build of Fallout 3 has been rebranded and is preparing to deliver more hands-on content. The team behind the New Vegas-based project, which released an initial demo last year, has adopted the title Fallout: The New West and plans to put out a second demo in the near future.
- New name: The project previously known as Fallout: Revelation Blues will now be called Fallout: The New West.
- Demo follow-up: Developers intend to release a second playable demo soon, though no exact date has been announced.
- Van Buren origins: The mod aims to recreate Van Buren, the Black Isle Studios-era Fallout 3 that was shelved in 2003, using New Vegas as its engine.
- Progress snapshot: A first demo was distributed last year, giving players an early look at how the team is translating Van Buren material into a New Vegas mod.
