AtomTeam has announced a direct follow-up to 2018’s Atom RPG, unveiling a trailer for Atom RPG 2 that leans hard into old-school, top-down roleplaying. The sequel keeps the turn-based, action-point combat and vault-and-wasteland exploration the first game leaned on, while casting players into a campaign to prevent a fresh catastrophic event.

  • Gameplay: Turn-based, top-down exploration and combat with action-point mechanics reminiscent of classic post-apocalyptic CRPGs.
  • Setting and threats: Expect underground bunkers, mutated wildlife and other bizarre hazards as you investigate and try to stop another looming disaster.
  • Development: The sequel is made by AtomTeam, a multi-national studio with developers in Cyprus, Ukraine and Latvia.
  • Heritage: Atom RPG 2 is positioned as a spiritual successor to 1990s-style Fallout games, continuing the retro-inspired approach of the 2018 original.
  • Reveal: A new trailer has been released to showcase tone, locations and combat; full release details and a launch window have not been announced in the reveal material.
