Deck Nine has announced Life Is Strange: Reunion, a direct follow-up to 2024’s Double Exposure that reunites Max Caulfield with Chloe Price at Caledon University. A catastrophic fire leaves everyone else dead unless Max uses her time powers to jump back and investigate; she has just three days to prevent the tragedy. Reunion alternates between Max and Chloe, leaning on both rewind-driven puzzles and Chloe’s confrontational conversational tricks to tell the story.

  • Release details: Reunion arrives on March 26 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The Standard Edition is priced at $39.99, while a Deluxe Edition is $49.99; multiple special editions are planned, including a bundle that pairs Reunion with Double Exposure.
  • Story setup: After a mysterious blaze devastates Caledon, Max avoids the deaths by leaping back in time via a selfie and is given 72 hours to uncover what started the inferno. Chloe reappears on campus with memories of a life she never actually lived, a consequence of prior reality-altering events.
  • Gameplay split: Players switch between Max and Chloe. Max’s returning rewind power lets you undo choices and manipulate environments to solve four-dimensional puzzles, while Chloe uses a revived Backtalk-style conversational system to access areas and information Max can’t reach.
  • Characters and development: The game is developed by Deck Nine and is presented as the concluding chapter of Max and Chloe’s arc. Chloe is voiced again by Rhianna DeVries, and the title aims to blend narrative beats with character-driven mechanics.
