Nintendo is reintroducing Virtual Boy software to the Switch family, with a curated lineup arriving February 17 and support for a peripheral inspired by the original headset. The collection mixes familiar releases with several never-before-seen titles and adds modern comforts intended to ease the old system's rough edges.
- Launch lineup and timing: A set of Virtual Boy games lands on February 17, including Teleroboxer, Galactic Pinball, Red Alarm, Golf, Virtual Boy Wario Land, 3-D Tetris, and The Mansion of Innsmouth (Innsmouth no Yakata).
- Lost and new entries: Nintendo confirmed additional additions later in the year such as Mario Clash, Mario Tennis, Jack Bros, Space Invaders Virtual Collection, Virtual Bowling, Vertical Force, and V-Tetris — plus two previously unreleased cartridges, Zero Racers and D-Hopper, making their public debuts.
- Hardware and visuals: Players can use a Switch-compatible peripheral modeled after the original Virtual Boy experience, and games will offer customizable color options to change the classic red-and-black scheme to different palettes.
- Modern conveniences: The app includes suspend-anytime saves, fully remappable controls, and a rewind feature to soften some older design rough spots, bringing these vintage titles in line with other Nintendo Classics releases.
