Poncle has shared new gameplay details for Vampire Crawlers, the studio's deck‑building spin‑off from the breakout hit Vampire Survivors. Described by the developer as a "turboturn deckbuilder," the title aims to deliver the tactical depth of turn‑based combat with far less downtime.
Rather than forcing players to wait for animations and long action sequences to finish, Vampire Crawlers stacks and executes inputs so moves flow into one another. The approach is intended to speed up the pace of encounters and make traditionally slow, deliberative combat feel more immediate and visually engaging.
Card customisation will play a central role. Players can socket gems into cards to alter effects, from damage multipliers to full weapon evolutions, allowing build variety mid‑run. Poncle has released the first instalment of a new video series titled "Let's Explore Vampire Crawlers," with subsequent episodes set to detail additional mechanics.
Vampire Crawlers is confirmed for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, PC, iOS and Android, with a planned release in 2026. A free demo will be available on Xbox and via Steam during Steam Next Fest on 23 February 2026.
The information was reported by Game Informer and supplements the initial announcement from November, further outlining Poncle's effort to translate the studio's signature arcade‑leaning design into a turn‑based, card‑driven format.
