Embark has deployed patch 1.7.0 for Arc Raiders, a wide-ranging update that delivers two highly requested quality-of-life features while altering progression systems that allowed Cred hoarding.
The update formally introduces a skill-tree reset option, enabling pilots to reallocate unlocked nodes without requiring workarounds or rerolling characters. Alongside this is a new aim-down-sights (ADS) toggle, giving players control over ADS behaviour to better match individual playstyles.
Patch 1.7.0 also kicks off the Cold Snap campaign, a series of timed events that apply new environmental conditions across multiple maps and aim to refresh the extraction-shooter loop with altered encounter dynamics.
Crucially, the update targets an exploit in which players could amass and retain excessive Cred. Changes to Cred progression and related systems have been implemented to prevent hoarding and to ensure a more balanced in-match and meta economy going forward.
Beyond these headline items, the patch bundles a suite of balance adjustments, bug fixes and stability improvements designed to refine weapon behaviour, AI interactions and UI responsiveness. Full patch notes and a detailed rundown of every change are available via the original report on VG247.
