Battlefield Studios has issued its first official communication of 2026, confirming a delay to Battlefield 6's upcoming Season 2.

The message arrived this week in place of a planned Season 2 reveal. Season 1 had been scheduled to conclude on Tuesday 20 January, which prompted the developer to provide an update to the player base.

Rather than launching the new season, the studio said it will deploy a fresh update and add a bonus path to the current battle pass to offer additional progression while Season 2’s start is postponed. The studio did not announce a revised launch date for Season 2 in the communication.
